We always suggest starting your experience at Rivercity Pilates  with a complimentary private session
.  This session is a way for you to get introduced to the studio and the mindful movement practices we offer in a a very relaxed one on one session with one of our trained instructors.  We’ll spend some time getting to know you and learn about your health and fitness goals, you’ll get to experience movement time tailored to your body and your instructor can recommend what might be the best sessions or classes for you to take to get started.  
 

Research says that it takes 3 exercise sessions per week to maintain your current fitness level, and 4-5 sessions per week to improve your fitness level.   If you want to try a little bit of everything and 3-5 classes per week our One Month Beginner Package gives you unlimited access to all of these Beginner classes and is absolutely our best deal!

These classes run in 4 week time increments.  You can take the entire series or just take the classes that work for your schedule! 

Introduction to the Pilates Equipment
New to Pilates? Start here! This class is designed for true beginners and is safe for those with chronic back pain and those with knee and hip replacements. Classes will focus on learning the Pilates basic concepts and movements and will utilize the Pilates equipment to help you gain strength, flexibility and mobility in your body! You are going to love the support of the equipment and be amazed at how it helps you see and feel results in your body!
Space is limited to 5 participants so sign up early to reserve your spot!
 
Beginner Pilates Mat
Wednesdays  at 5pm 
The Pilates Mat work is the basis of the Pilates method of exercise and teaches you how to get a safe, effective workout that you can do practically anywhere! This beginner class will focus on the Pilates basics using only your body and small portable props. You’ll gain strength, flexibility and mobility and learn exercises that you can practice just about anywhere!

Beginner Yoga 
Starts Saturday September 15
This series is designed to introduce Yoga to those with limited or no experience. If you’re a beginner in Yoga or haven’t practiced in awhile, start here! This class will help you on your journey to more focus, balance, strength and flexibility.

The following classes are regular Beginner Friendly Classes on our group schedule.  You can join in these classes at anytime:

Roll,Release, and Relax
You’ll spend all 50 minutes of this class using specialized therapy balls to do self massage throughout your entire body. This class is designed to release tight muscles and fascial adhesions, releasing tensions and leaving you feeling more mobile throughout your entire body. Beginners welcome- no experience needed!
 
Beginner Friendly Foam Roller
This beginner friendly class will utilize the foam roller to focus on learning the Pilates fundamentals and basic Pilates mat work. You’ll also learn to use the  foam roller to roll and stretch out tight muscles and fascia.
 
The Basics Pilates Mat
The Basics Pilates Mat class is designed for beginner and beyond Pilates students who want to focus on the mastering the fundamental Pilates Mat exercises. Classes will include a variety of props and will give participants the chance to create a strong foundation of overall strength, core strength and flexibility.  Great for beginners and beyond!
